It’s beginning to look a lot like a gluten and dairy free Christmas.
The Christmas season is keeping me busy but I am trying to apply the advice I shared in How to keep your Sanity this Holiday Season. We have only done a handful of the things that were on my list and I am ok with that. We were able to take Genevieve to see the Oregon Zoo lights as well as a performance of the Nutcracker.
After our family became gluten and mostly dairy and egg free we have had to make a lot of changes. For Memorial Day I shared The Gluten Free Guide to Group Gatherings. I feel like these tips could also be applied to your holiday celebrations.
I had hoped to do lots of holiday baking and share delicious treats with all of our friends and family. But because of our diet changes I can no longer use my old go to recipes. As Christmas continues to get closer the baking is looking more and more like a pipe dream than a reality.
I was however able to whip up one of our favorite gluten and dairy free snacks, Chocolate Rice Crispy Treats. They are so delicious! I should have planned to make them from the beginning.
I also found a few more recipes that I am dying to try from some of my favorite mom bloggers. If you are in need of quick and easy gluten, dairy and mostly egg free treats we have got you covered!
