Tell us a little about yourself.

I grew up in Virginia and now reside in North Carolina. I am a wife to an awesome guy who supports me and our family 100%. He is really the life force behind everything I am. I am a mom of three kiddos ages 8, 6 and 8 months! So trust me, I have a TON on my hands!I am an online business consultant and social media strategist for entrepreneurs wanting to get visible online. I absolutely love what I do and the people I serve. I went to college for nursing and realized it wasn’t for me.I found my love for the online space when serving as an intern for an online Atlanta magazine. It was that internship that drove me to want to learn more about social media and marketing. After working for five years in the digital advertising department for a newspaper, I was over the 9 to 5 (more like 8 to 9 rolls eyes) and wanted more for not only myself, but for my family. I started my online search and started blogging and building my very own business. This Mom can Help You to Thrive at Motherhood and Entrepreneurship. How did you get your start in blogging?

I literally fell into it. I was looking for things to do from home to make money and blogging kept coming up. I honestly never thought my blog would turn into a business, much less one that replaced my full time income. It’s been an amazing journey and I wouldn’t do anything different except maybe start sooner!

Can you tell us what people can find on your blogs.

I have three blogs: one based on blogging and business tips for bloggers and entrepreneurs (theofficialceomom.com), one that I suppose would be categorized as a mom blog that covers topics such as mom life, baby, wellness, and travel (themomlifechronicles.com), and another that I rather not share that I own- it is an Amazon review site that is primarily focused on affiliate marketing. (You can also find Kristie on Twitter)

You also have a great podcast. How did you get started with podcastingand how can people tune in?

My podcast is titled ceoMom Talk and it covers topics for blogging and biz mamas! I interview guests and sometimes do solo shows as well. You can find me on iTunes or SoundCloud! That is a lot of stuff, how do you manage it all?

Now that is a great question! I can’t live without Trello, Google Calendar, my phone, and my planner! Everything I do has to be in either of these tools or it won’t get done. I use Trello to lay out my to do and important tasks that need to be done for my business and my blogs.Google calendar helps me keep up with my appointments with clients and things I have to do for my kids and my husband. It’s also great for my husband and I to keep up with each other’s appointments and meetings as well.I love my planner because I have to see things in my face. Sometimes, I will forget things that are in my phone or computer but on my planner, I am good to go! And of course, I just have to have my phone. I don’t think an explanation is needed, haha.

What is your best piece of advice for mamas trying to juggle motherhoodand their goals of entrepreneurship?

When it comes to trying to juggle mom life and your blogging biz, don’t try to do it all. Focus on what is important for each day. Choose three things to do each day. Making a massive list each day will be too overwhelming and we know it all won’t be completed. Just focus on daily priorities, taking things one day at a time! This Mom can Help You to Thrive at Motherhood and Entrepreneurship.
