My top 10 baby gear must haves

Our families top 10 baby gear must haves.

1. Blankets These Muslin blankets have been the best!!! They are extra large and work great for swaddling.muslin blankets  which are smaller in size. Because they are light weight I use them as a nursing cover. Just tie a knot on two corners and pull the blanket over your head.Bebamour Travel Backpack Diaper Bag is a life saver. For the first 6 months I used a normal back pack as a diaper bag simply cause I couldn’t find one that I liked. That all changed once I found the Bebamour. It has a wonderful amount of storage space and can be carried over the shoulder or as a backpack.how I ended up choosing the Aire3 click connect travel system. Graco Breeze click connect stroller. I was not planning on getting a second stroller. The Aire3 works great, but we wanted to have a lighter umbrella stroller for Genevieve’s first flight. It turned out to be a great decision. We now keep the umbrella stroller in the car and the Aire3 in the house. Excessive, maybe. But I have yet to regret it. Dutailier Modern Glider. This decision was made after testing out every chair option available at Babies R’Us. I had read that it is a good idea for mom and their significant other to both feel comfortable in the chair. This was great advice since my husband and I both spend plenty of time rocking the munchkin in the chair.Marpac Dohm-DS All-Natural White Noise Sound Machine. This machine is a life saver! And being on the smaller side it is easy to pack and bring along on trips.Graco Blossom 4-in-1 Seating System has been a great high chair! It grows along with your baby and the removable tray cover makes for easy clean up.Boppy Nursing Pillow. If you have smaller breasts it can be especially helpful. Otherwise your arms will get extra tired holding all of babies weight up when nursing. burp rags are super handy! If you happen to wear glasses then you are in luck. These burp rags are an excellent cloth for cleaning your glasses! It is the only thing my husband and I use to clean all the baby finger prints off of ours. Fisher Price My Little Snugapuppy Swing  plays music, has multiple speed settings and has a mirror top. The first time she noticed herself in the mirror was priceless. The swing was a great way to have my hands free for a few minutes.Skip Hop Pronto Changing Station. This changing station is extremely handy and can hold 3 diapers plus a large amount of wipes. It now stays in my car and be a great option if I don’t want to bring the entire diaper bag.Items I could have done without.

There are a few items that we did not need.

  • We used a borrowed wipe warmer when Genevieve was first born but I would never choose to buy one.
  • I bought way too many blankets! Lots of people gave blankets as gifts and Genevieve tends to run hot so she doesn’t like to be covered up.
  • Bibs! There have been enough different types of bibs that I could do an entire post on bibs alone.
  • Recently I asked some mamas on Instagram to name one baby item they did not end up using. The bumbo seat was a popular answer. I had borrowed one from a friend that we only used a handful of times. It just wasn’t for us.
  • Genevieve is a great nurser and never took to bottles. Thankfully the bottles we had were borrowed so I did not invest a lot of money into them.

Every mamas list will be different.

This list is what has been most helpful for our family. Every families needs will be different. On top of that, every babies needs will be different. So my advice to any new mamas searching for the perfect baby gear would be, when ever possible go to the store and play. Test items out in person. This takes extra time in the present but will save you from the trouble of dealing with it in the future.

Whats on your list?

Seasoned mamas, what have been some of your most useful baby gear items? Mamas to be please let me know if you have questions about any of the baby gear I have listed. Be sure to stick around, next week I will share the ways we have been able to save money on our baby gear.norfolk
