Travel with a toddler is a whole new experience!
We recently went on a trip to Oahu Hawaii. And I gotta say this trip was one for the memory books. My daughter adapted to island culture instantly. She could not get enough of the beach!
The last time we visited Oahu Hawaii was two years ago, 2014.
This past trip is full of happy memories and also painful memories. My sweet daddy passed away while we were on this trip. It was really hard to be away from my family and thankfully we were able to come home early.I have many joyful memories of this trip as well. I was pregnant with my daughter and couldn’t wait to bring her to all of my favorite places once she was born. We took this picture while there to announce that we were having a baby girl.
The year 2015 was one of the hardest of our lives.
Last year, 2015, we planned to make our annual Hawaii trip and introduce Genevieve to all of her extended Hawaii family. Little did we know that 2015 would be one of the hardest years of our lives. During 2015 my husband almost died, was in and out of the hospital and had two major surgeries.
This year, 2016, we are starting fresh. New beginnings, new memories and new family traditions.
We had many firsts and experienced plenty of parenting lessons on this trip. I can’t wait to share how we survived our first flight with a mobile toddler. Managing being gluten, dairy and egg free for the first time on Oahu. How I handled my munchkins first time being sick on vacation. And our favorite baby friendly beaches and things to do on Oahu.
